I am pleased with your work! My backyard looks wonderful (i.e. new sod, hedges, and patio slab). Thank You! 😊

Most Fort Worth homeowners are not using their backyard as much as they could be, and the reason is almost always the same: there is no defined surface to gather around. Outdoor furniture on bare lawn does not create an outdoor room. A well-built patio does. And a well-built patio starts with the base preparation that most contractors rush: proper compaction, drainage grading that moves water away from the structure rather than pooling against it, and a stable foundation that keeps the surface level through North Texas temperature cycles. Greenview Landscaping installs concrete, paver, flagstone, and stamped concrete patios throughout Fort Worth, doing the foundation work correctly every time so the surface stays level and crack-free for years rather than settling and heaving within the first few seasons. Serving the Fort Worth area since 2016 with a 4.8-star Google rating and A+ BBB accreditation, we handle the full project from site assessment through final landscape integration. Browse completed patio installations in our gallery. Call (817) 393-3144 or contact us for a free estimate written proposal covering all materials and labor provided before any work begins.

A custom outdoor patio by Greenview Landscaping gives Fort Worth homeowners a durable, beautiful surface that anchors their outdoor living space and holds up through years of North Texas weather. We design and install concrete, paver, flagstone, and stamped concrete patios engineered with proper drainage grading and quality base preparation so the finished surface stays level, stable, and crack-free over time. Every patio project starts with a site assessment that considers drainage, sun exposure, how the patio will connect to existing structures, and the overall landscape plan — because a patio that performs well is a patio that was planned well. We handle every detail from the base work through the final edge treatments and surrounding landscape integration so the finished installation looks complete and intentional, not like an afterthought. Contact Greenview Landscaping at (817) 393-3144 for a free outdoor patio estimate in Fort Worth.

Worth, Keller, Southlake, Roanoke, Grapevine, and surrounding communities, our team combines expert craftsmanship with creative design to deliver patios that perfectly fit your home and lifestyle.

Why Add an Outdoor Patio?

An outdoor patio is one of the most versatile and valuable additions you can make to your property. It extends your living space, provides a comfortable area for entertaining, and boosts the overall curb appeal and value of your home. Whether you want a cozy retreat for quiet evenings or a large gathering space for family and friends, a professionally built patio makes it possible.

Key benefits of an outdoor patio include:

  • Expanded living and entertainment space
  • Increased home value and resale appeal
  • Durable, low-maintenance surfaces built to last
  • A custom area designed to reflect your style
  • A seamless connection between indoor and outdoor living

Our Patio Design and Installation Services

At Greenview Landscaping, we don’t believe in cookie-cutter patios. Each project is custom designed to match your home’s architecture, your outdoor lifestyle, and your budget. From simple, elegant patios to elaborate designs with built-in features, we handle it all.

Our patio services include:

  • Custom Patio Design – Tailored layouts that fit your space, style, and functional needs.
  • Patio Installation – Professional construction with high-quality materials built to last.
  • Stone & Paver Patios – Natural stone, brick, or concrete pavers for timeless appeal.
  • Stamped & Stained Concrete – Durable concrete patios with decorative finishes.
  • Integrated Features – Fire pits, seating walls, pergolas, and outdoor kitchens built into your patio design.
  • Patio Remodeling – Updating old or damaged patios with modern designs and materials.

Custom Patio Materials

The materials you choose for your patio make a big difference in its appearance, durability, and maintenance needs. We offer a wide selection of options to suit every style:

  • Natural Stone – Rustic, elegant, and long-lasting, perfect for a timeless look.
  • Brick – Classic and charming, ideal for traditional-style homes.
  • Concrete Pavers – Versatile and durable, available in countless shapes and colors.
  • Stamped Concrete – An affordable way to mimic stone or tile while maintaining durability.
  • Flagstone – A natural choice with unique textures and colors.

Patios as Part of Outdoor Living

Your patio doesn’t have to stand alone. At Greenview Landscaping, we often integrate patios into complete outdoor living spaces. This may include pergolas for shade, fire pits for warmth and ambiance, or outdoor kitchens for dining and entertaining. By combining these features, we create a backyard that’s not only beautiful but also functional for year-round enjoyment.

Patio Remodeling and Upgrades

If your current patio is cracked, outdated, or too small for your needs, our team can remodel or expand it. We’ll replace worn-out materials with durable, modern options and redesign your patio to better suit your lifestyle. With our help, your backyard can go from tired and outdated to fresh and inviting.

Why Choose Professional Patio Installation?

Frequently Asked Questions: Outdoor Patio Services in Fort Worth

What types of outdoor patios does Greenview Landscaping install?
We install standard broom-finished concrete patios, stamped concrete patios, concrete paver patios, brick paver patios, natural stone paver patios, and flagstone patios. Each offers different aesthetics, durability, maintenance requirements, and cost profiles that we discuss during the estimate consultation.
How much does a patio installation cost in Fort Worth?
Basic concrete patio installation runs $6–$12 per sq ft. Stamped concrete runs $12–$18 per sq ft. Paver patios range $15–$25 per sq ft installed. Natural flagstone starts at $20–$40 per sq ft. Total project cost depends on size, material, site preparation, and associated features. Free estimates provided.
What is the most durable patio material for Fort Worth?
Concrete pavers are generally considered the most durable and versatile option. Their segmented nature accommodates soil movement, and individual pavers can be replaced if damaged without disturbing the entire surface. Poured concrete is also durable when properly reinforced and cut, though more susceptible to cracking from North Texas clay soil movement.
How does drainage affect patio installation?
Drainage planning is critical. Patios must be graded away from structures at 1–2% slope minimum to prevent water pooling against foundations. Poor drainage accelerates base erosion and promotes cracking. Greenview Landscaping incorporates drainage grading into every patio project — it is not optional.
How long does patio installation take?
A standard residential patio installation takes two to four days. Larger projects or those requiring significant base preparation may take five to seven days. We provide timeline estimates with every project proposal.
What base preparation is required for a patio in Fort Worth?
Quality patio installation requires a minimum 4-inch compacted gravel base over the native soil (often more in Fort Worth's clay-heavy conditions), correctly sloped for drainage, and properly compacted before any surface material is placed. Skimping on base preparation is the most common cause of premature patio failure.
Can a patio be installed over existing concrete?
In some cases, yes. Pavers and thin flagstone can be installed over existing concrete if it is level, structurally sound, and properly sloped for drainage. We assess the existing slab condition before recommending overlay versus full removal and replacement.
What is stamped concrete and is it a good option?
Stamped concrete is poured concrete textured and colored to resemble stone, brick, or other materials. It offers visual versatility at lower cost than natural materials. In Fort Worth, it requires periodic sealing to protect the decorative surface from UV fade and moisture. A good option when budget is a priority.
How do I maintain a concrete paver patio?
Paver patios benefit from periodic joint sand replenishment, cleaning, and resealing every two to three years. We recommend polymeric sand for joints — it resists washout and weed growth far better than regular sand.
Can you add a pergola or covered structure to a new patio project?
Yes — and combining a patio with a pergola or covered structure in one project is more efficient and ensures everything is designed and built as a cohesive unit. We design both elements together so pergola footings are correctly positioned relative to patio dimensions.
Will my patio add value to my Fort Worth home?
Yes. A well-designed, well-built patio consistently adds usable living area and property value in Fort Worth's market. The return on investment is particularly strong when the patio is integrated with an outdoor living environment — pergola, fire pit, or kitchen — rather than installed as a standalone slab.
Can a patio be designed for entertaining?
Yes. Entertaining-focused patio design considers traffic flow, furniture placement zones, access to the home's interior, proximity to an outdoor kitchen or fire pit, and ambient lighting. We design patios around how you actually intend to use them.
How do I choose between concrete pavers and flagstone?
Concrete pavers offer uniformity, pattern variety, and lower cost. Flagstone provides a more natural, organic aesthetic that many clients prefer for traditional or ranch-style homes. Flagstone typically costs more and requires more skilled installation. Both perform well in North Texas conditions. The choice is primarily aesthetic and budget-driven.
Can you install a patio in a small backyard?
Yes. We design patios for yards of all sizes. In small backyards, efficient space planning — maximizing usable area, using built-in seating to eliminate bulky furniture, and integrating lighting to expand perceived space — can make even a compact patio highly functional.
What edge treatments are available for patios?
Edge treatments include soldier-course paver borders, natural stone banding, poured concrete curbs, and steel edging. The right edge treatment depends on the patio material and the desired visual transition to the surrounding landscape. We discuss edge treatment options during the design phase.
Does Greenview Landscaping handle the excavation for a new patio?
Yes. We handle the full project scope including excavation, base preparation, installation, and site cleanup. You engage one contractor from beginning to end.
Can I get a patio installed near my pool?
Yes. Pool deck patios are one of our most requested projects. We select appropriate materials for pool environments — travertine, pavers, and broom-finished concrete are popular — and design for the specific drainage requirements of pool surrounds.
How does Fort Worth's clay soil affect patio longevity?
Fort Worth's expansive clay soil moves with moisture changes, which is the primary cause of patio cracking and settlement in North Texas. Patios built on properly prepared and compacted gravel bases that provide a stable, non-reactive layer over the native clay are far less susceptible to movement-related damage.
Can Greenview Landscaping match my existing walkway or driveway material?
We make every effort to match or closely coordinate with existing materials. For concrete, matching cured surfaces is approximate. For paver materials, matching existing products depends on availability. We discuss material coordination during the estimate consultation.
Do you provide a warranty on patio installations?
We stand behind our workmanship. If issues arise from our installation practices, we return to address them. Specific workmanship commitments are discussed during the proposal process so clients have clear expectations before work begins.
Can a patio be built on a slope?
Yes. Sloped sites require either terracing the area with retaining walls to create a level patio surface, or designing a sloped patio that follows the grade with appropriate drainage management. We assess the site and recommend the most appropriate approach.
Can you build a covered patio roof rather than just an open patio surface?
Yes. Covered patio structures — wood, aluminum, or metal roofed — are within our scope as part of a full outdoor living project. We can design and build both the patio surface and the overhead structure as one integrated project.
Does Greenview Landscaping handle permits for patio installation?
Permit requirements vary by project and municipality. Some patio installations require permits; many do not. We advise on permit requirements during the estimate process and handle permit applications where required.
Can a patio be expanded after initial installation?
Yes. Patio expansions are feasible when the existing installation is in good condition. We assess the existing surface and design the expansion to integrate smoothly with what was built before, including material matching and drainage grading continuity.
What is the difference between a patio and a deck?
A patio is a ground-level hardscape surface — concrete, pavers, or stone — installed directly on a prepared base. A deck is an elevated wood or composite structure built above grade. Patios are typically lower maintenance and more durable in North Texas conditions; decks offer elevated sightlines and can span sloped terrain more easily.
Do you offer design assistance for patio projects?
Yes. We develop design plans that show patio layout, dimensions, material selection, drainage grading, and integration with surrounding landscape and hardscaping. Clear design planning before installation begins is how we ensure the finished result matches client expectations.
Are financing options available for patio projects?
Yes. We offer financing for qualifying patio and hardscape projects. We also accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, Zelle, cash, and check.
How do I request a free patio estimate from Greenview Landscaping?
Call (817) 393-3144 or complete the contact form at greenviewdfw.com/contact/. We schedule a free on-site consultation, assess the site, discuss your goals, and provide a detailed written estimate.
What makes Greenview Landscaping different from other patio contractors in Fort Worth?
We design patios to fit the property and the homeowner's goals — not a standard template. We build on properly prepared bases with correct drainage grading, use quality materials, and integrate the patio with the surrounding landscape so the finished result looks complete and intentional. Our 4.8-star rating across 184 Google reviews reflects clients consistently satisfied with the process and the result.
Can Greenview Landscaping build a patio for a commercial property?
Yes. We install patio surfaces for commercial properties including office courtyards, restaurant outdoor dining areas, retail spaces, and common area hardscaping throughout Fort Worth and the DFW area. Commercial patio projects often have specific material durability, ADA compliance, and maintenance requirements that we address during the estimate consultation.
